B100: #83 “Higher Than The Sun” by Primal Scream

Time for another band where it’s really difficult to pick a favourite song for my top 100 tunes list, but “Higher Than The Sun” edges aside some tough Primal Scream competition to come out on top.

B100: #74 “Far Gone And Out” by The Jesus And Mary Chain

Not an obvious choice from this great band, but my personal favourite Jesus And Mary Chain song remains the surf-tastic “Far Gone And Out” from 1992.

379 to 50: #11 “You Made Me Realise” by My Bloody Valentine

Just ahead of the top ten for my favourite songs list, there’s another tough choice in picking just one My Bloody Valentine tune, but I have gone for their first Creation release, “You Made Me Realise” from 1988.

379 to 50: #45 “Roygbiv” by Boards of Canada

First electronic entry for my 379 to 50 countdown, with Boards of Canada‘s beautifully melodic “Roygbiv” from 1998’s masterful “Music Has The Right To Children” album.
